Made from a solid, rectangular block of marble, the Monolith Incense Holder from WOUD embraces contemplation and wellbeing while embodying production and material optimisation. The cylindrical holder is cut out of the block, leaving a hollow centre to place the piece vertically. Clever use of counterweight and friction holds the incense sticks at the perfect angle while the plate provides a platform for burning incense cones or a piece of lava rock.

Oleg Pugachev is based in Berlin. Living in Germany for more than half of his life, he graduated from the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art and Design in 2013.
