Inspired by the space where digital and physical forms meet, Wang & Söderström’s Candleholders are unique sculptural objects that serve as miniature pieces of art. The organically shaped 3D models are first developed in the designers’ studio, before the candleholders are 3D printed and moulded in porcelain and stoneware at a ceramic factory. Available in different designs and colours, they are ideal for displaying alone or in clusters in many different spaces and contexts.

Wang & Söderström is a Copenhagen-based design duo consisting of Anny Wang and Tim Söderström. Wang (b. 1990) studied spatial and furniture design at the University of Gothenburg, while Söderström (b. 1988) studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts. They founded Wang & Söderström in 2016.
In their work, the duo balances between the digital and physical dimensions, exploring the opportunities brought by technology in a way that maintains the human, sensual and approachable nature of the end result, whatever it may be. Their main tool is 3D modelling software, and that’s also what they start every project with, whether they are working on an object, an installation or something completely digital. Alternating between and blurring the lines of art and design, Wang & Söderström has collaborated with the likes of Iittala, Hay, Frama, Nike, Rimowa and Burberry, among others.
